Information Tickets and Travel hosted the annual Travel Expedition at JR Rockers on February 13. Over 60 vendors from five states participated in this annual event - such as Disney World, Universal Orlando, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Medieval Times and many more. Upon arrival, attendees were issues special passports to join the travel expedition and become eligible for over $8,000 in prizes. They were also able to plan sensational vacations with vendors right there in person to answer questions! Congratulations to all those who took home prizes... see you in 2009!

Family Fest celebrates the opening of youth baseball season and commemorates the month of the military child and child abuse prevention. Family Fest has grown to entertain over 4,000 family members of all ages. The event offers tons of free crafts, games, rides and valuable educational information. Parents may bring children by to complete an Ident-a-kid kit with security forces, receive eye exams from the eye clinic or check out what is happening at the "tooth booth". Various characters can also be spotted lurking around looking for someone to pose for a photo. If you keep your eyes open, you may even spot "Sparky" the fire god. The center stage offers various forms of entertainment through song and dance. The purpose of this event is to have families interact with each other in a fun environment and learn more about the event's important themes.
The Egg Hunt is an annual event held in the Community Park. Youth ages 12 and under bring their baskets and at the sound of the horn venture out looking for eggs. Children are grouped according to age, with age-appropriate hiding spots.

The annual Bridal Expo is open to the public and held at the Hurlburt Field Soundside Club. This year there were 16 vendors on site to help Brides with different aspects of wedding planning, ranging from reception location and catering provided by the Soundside to hosting the perfect bachelorette party. The show ended with a spectacular Bridal Fashion Show featuring over 40 bride and bridesmaid dresses. The 2007 Bridal Expo was sponsored by Cumulus Broadcasting. The Sound of Independence is Hurlburt's annual Independence Day Celebration. It is held prior to the 4th of July, so not to conflict with local community events. Over 5,000 members attended from the military community to enjoy live entertainment, check out exciting rides, visit craft booths, eat some great food and experience a spectacular fireworks show! There is something for everyone as Hurlburt rings in the Sound of Independence! Admission is FREE! Squadrons pull out of your swimsuits and dive into the most innovative sporting competition you can imagine! Yes, it's the Olympics with a wet, wild and wacky twist... Hurlburt style. Enter a four person team (min. one female) and compete among the best of the best in water volleyball, wet and wacky tug-of-war, tube relays and more!

More than 200 bikes, cars and trucks competed in Hurlburt's fourth annual Commando Cruise-In October 27, 2007 at the Air Force Air Armament Museum grounds. The event, Hurlburt's largest motor show to date, featured more than 40 categories and special appearances from local law enforcement and fire departments. Motor enthusiasts and guests were treated to a collection of rides spanning 80 decades as well as a taste of Air Force heritage in and outside the Air Armament Museum.

Hurlburt members of all ages gathered at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony December 4, 2007, at Air Park. The event featured the traditional caroling and ceremonial countdown to the tree lighting, but new this year and what took many people by surprise was the spectacular pyrotechnics display that followed the countdown. A curtain of fireworks surrounded the tree, which was decorated with yellow ribbons placed by children of deployed Hurlburt troops. Shortly after, a fire truck, sirens blazing, escorted Santa to the Air Park grounds and led the children to the Youth Center for photos and games. Also during the ceremony, judges announced the winners of the squadron Giant Greeting Card contest.
