Starting Monday, June 7, The Warehouse Bistro & Pub will be closed. The final day for food service at the Warehouse is June 4. The Commando Cuts Barber Shop, located inside the Warehouse, will remain open. Entrance to the barber shop will be via the Simpson Avenue side-entrance. Barber shop patrons are encouraged to make an appointment, but walk-ins are welcome Mon.-Fri. from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sat. from 10a.m.-2p.m. The shop is closed on Sundays and federal holidays. Like an aging sports superstar, you know when it is time to retire. J.R. Rockers, our sports themed restaurant and bar has reached that age. The 1st Special Operations Force Support Squadron decided to head off in a completely new direction from the sports bar theme. The Warehouse Bistro concept was born out of a desire to be whimsical, modern, yet contemporary. The new menu is laced with some old favorites and some new trendy, yet healthier items. To make sure we were on the right track, we conducted several taste tests during the menu development period. The ballroom is much larger now and can accommodate more people in an open and friendly atmosphere. The "warehouse" theme was an easy choice because of the exposed ceilings and existing layout. The new color scheme is much lighter and brighter since our customers often complained about the dark feel of the prior décor. Much of the new décor has been made using recycled equipment and supplies to give the true effect of a warehouse. Some of the decorations are "pop art", created by a local artist/welder, again to suggest a warehouse setting. The new atmosphere and décor in conjunction with a new healthier menu is also very family friendly. Come join us in our new surroundings and try out the new menu items.
